ELKAP was founded in 1984 as a family company. Started to provide hard chrome plating services in a humblely invested workshop. Step by step, achieved it’s primary objective “expansion” and shortly became a demanded company in its sector.

While hard chrome plating studies continue, cylindirical grinding machine shop for plated shafts and rolls had been set up. Turnover was increased with complementary plating and grinding operations.

After obtaining limited company status in 1992, studies were made to increase available capacity. New investments were made in hard chrome plating and grinding processes under reconstruction movements. In order to manufacture various machine parts machining workshop had been set up . Measurement and control department established and production standards have been increased.

Following the renovation operations made after 1999 Earthquake, Thermal spray coating added to the field of activity. This initative, starting with flame spray system, diversified with adding plazma spray, electric arc wire spray and HVOF spray systems.

The synergy coming from the collaboration of hard chrome plating and thermal spray operations accelerated ELKAP’s expansion. Through having the opportunity to work with various industrial sectors about plating and machining operations, ELKAP continued to grow as well as increasing it’s market share.

In 2017, with Sakarya 3. OSB ( Sakarya 3rd Industrial Park ) plant, machinery investments were made for industrial sectors like steel, paper etc. . By equipping the plant with CNC turning machines, production potential increased. Also with roll grinding machine a remarkable capacity increase have been achieved in grinding.

By the end of 2017, within the Sakarya 1st Industrial Park ( Sakarya 1. OSB ) expansion project, ELKAP purchased a 15000 m² parcel of land , took a concrete step for expansion. In this place, a new plant construction project is underway.

As a result improvement moves, ELKAP diversified it’s customer portfolio; with its coating knowledge and  its manufactured custom machine parts, ELKAP become capable working with various national and international companies in many sectors.
