ELKAP manufactures table rolls and looper rolls for rolling mill in  sheet steel production plants.

As roll body material extruded steel tubes, as roll neck material high weldability tool steels are used. After welding operation of the parts, roll receives its final geometry with turning.

Contacting with high temperature steels these rolls have projection and cooling roles. In order to work under this extreme condition roll body surface is coated with  Ni-Cr-B-Si composed thermal powders. With spray-fuse method generally implemented with  1 - 1.5 mm thickness  58-62 HRC hardness can be reached.

Neck and body of rolls processed to desired dimensions and tolerances with grinding.

Fracture control tests are applied on welded and coated part of the rolls. Dynamic balancing process is one of the procedures in production. After lubricating the roll with protective oil rolls delivered in wooden packages.

In the delivery process of manufactured rolls a control form containing diameter and dimensional values, coating thickness and surface roughness is prepared. Material certificates, thermal powder certificates, fracture control reports and balance reports are additionally submitted with this form.
