FLAME WIRE SPRAY
The core principle of the system is spraying the fused or partially melted wire ( metal or alloy ) with pressured air from the blowgun. The wire is melted by the flame, composed of acetylene and oxygen gas mixture.
The most common coating materials are wire shaped carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, aluminium, copper, bronze, cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, tin and zinc.
In the coating period distortion and dimensional deformation is avoided by controlling the temperature of work piece.
Above 5 mm coating thickness can be obtained with this system. High roughness coatings (ra: 20 µm approximately) are this systems most obvious feature.
